Valedictory Ceremony of Capacity Building Workshops for PM-KUSUM Comp A
The closing event of the 100-day, 100 KVKs Farmers Training Programme marked the successful conclusion of an awareness campaign that reached over 3,000 farmers on the PM-KUSUM Component A scheme. Launched in February 2019, the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme aims to enhance energy security for farmers while supporting India’s commitment to achieving 40% of its installed power capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030 under its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).
Held in Goa on 7 December 2024, the event celebrated the participation of 100 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), which serve as local knowledge and resource centers for farmers. The campaign focused on building resilience among farmers by promoting the adoption of agrivoltaics, aligning agricultural development with India’s clean energy transition.
