Indo-German Business Roundtable on Wind Energy

On the sidelines of Windergy India 2025 in Chennai, an exclusive Indo-German Business Roundtable on Wind Energy brought together key leaders from both countries. The discussion was chaired by Mr. Johann Saathoff, Parliamentary State Secretary, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). 

CEOs and senior representatives from Indian and German companies, including Senvion Wind, ZF Wind, Flender, Nordex, Siemens Energy, TUV SUD, and the German exhibitors from the pavilion, participated in the dialogue. The roundtable reinforced how German engineering expertise and Indian manufacturing capacity are complementary, together offering a stronger response to global supply-chain challenges. In addition, it highlighted opportunities in offshore wind, hydrogen integration, digitalisation of wind-assets and make-in-India value chains.

Windergy India 2025 underlined the expanding horizon for Indo-German cooperation in one of the most dynamic segments of the energy sector. With the mix of high-level diplomacy, industry engagement and technology showcase, the German Pavilion stood out as a powerful expression of our shared vision: scaling wind energy, creating manufacturing-led growth and unlocking green exports.
