The Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) provides a dialogue platform for high-level policy makers, financial institutions, industry and research organizations to deepen and enhance the bilateral cooperation for the energy transition in Germany and India.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction about the cooperation in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency, including the important and successful work under the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF).
Since its establishment in 2006, the Indo-German Energy Forum has successfully intensified Indo-German Cooperation in the areas of energy security, energy efficiency and renewable energies, investment in energy projects as well as collaborative research and development. The Government of India is organising 2nd International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) from 11 to 13 September 2024 in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam, to discuss the recent advances and upcoming technologies across the entire green hydrogen value chain. The forum will provide an opportunity to discuss the evolving green hydrogen landscape and network with global scientific community and industry. The three-day mega event will feature plenary talks, expert panel discussions and technical deliberations around establishing the green hydrogen ecosystem and catalysing a systemic approach for meeting the global goals for decarbonisation through green hydrogen. Apart from domain-specific interaction on hydrogen production, storage, distribution and downstream applications, the conference will also be discussing green financing, human resource upskilling and startup initiatives in this area.
Networking Reception on "Co-Locating International Partnerships for Accelerating India’s Green Hydrogen Deployment"

The National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) along with the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF-SO) is organising a networking reception on “Co-Locating International Partnerships for Accelerating India’s Green Hydrogen Deployment,”at The Lalit on 12 September 2024 from 7pm onwards under the aegis of the International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024.
This reception will bring together key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, technology innovators, and financial investors, to discuss and explore advancements in green hydrogen technologies, partnerships for scaling up domestic production for exports, regulatory frameworks, and investment opportunities.

Conference on MSMEs - A Key Player in Advancement of GH2

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising a one-day Conference on MSMEs - A Key Player in Advancement of Green Hydrogen on 13 September 2024 at the PHD House in New Delhi from 9am to 6pm.
The conference will explore topics such as Indian policies and regulations on green hydrogen, best international practices in the sector, potential and opportunities for the MSME sector and the best technologies to be implemented and safety practices to be followed.

RE-INVEST is a GoI’s flagship event to showcase India’s RE potential to the world & to invite investment in the sector by initiating multilateral dialogue.
The Power-to-X Training on Shipping provides insights into the current international regulation and policies for sustainable shipping and how those are related to India becoming a global green hydrogen hub. The Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF-SO) in collaboration with the International Power-to-X Hub, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the National Centre of Excellence in Green Ports and Shipping (NCoEGPS) is conducting its first training on shipping from 17 - 18 September 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
