The Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) provides a dialogue platform for high-level policy makers, financial institutions, industry and research organizations to deepen and enhance the bilateral cooperation for the energy transition in Germany and India.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction about the cooperation in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency, including the important and successful work under the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF).
Since its establishment in 2006, the Indo-German Energy Forum has successfully intensified Indo-German Cooperation in the areas of energy security, energy efficiency and renewable energies, investment in energy projects as well as collaborative research and development. The World Hydrogen 2025 Summit and Exhibition is taking place from 20th to 22nd May in Rotterdam Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, invites you to participate in a series of high-impact events hosted by the Indian Delegation at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025, held at Ahoy, Rotterdam. Led by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS, Secretary, MNRE, the Indian delegation comprises over 45 representatives from government, industry, and research institutions, highlighting India’s commitment to global green hydrogen collaboration and innovation.

India and the Netherlands stand at the forefront of a transformative opportunity in the global energy landscape. India, with its ambitious National Green Hydrogen Mission, aims to become a global hub for the production and export of green hydrogen, targeting a significant reduction in production costs and a robust increase in renewable capacity. The Netherlands, home to Europe’s largest and most advanced port in Rotterdam, is positioned as a key gateway for clean energy imports into the European market, offering world-class logistics, digital infrastructure, and a commitment to sustainable port management. Next to that, the Netherlands is accelerating at development of innovative technology, aiming to make hydrogen cost-effective, scalable, and efficient while ensuring safety and sustainability.
While in the past years a lot of effort has been done to connect our green hydrogen ecosystems, now it’s time to discuss how to ensure a smooth flow of green hydrogen and its derivatives between India and the European market through the Netherlands. The establishment of an import-export corridor for green hydrogen would represent not only a milestone in our bilateral relations but also a crucial step toward a sustainable, decarbonized future for both our economies and the wider world. With this session we aim to present the current state of affairs and unlock the ideas about how to set up this corridor.

India Energy Storage Week (IESW) is a flagship international conference & exhibition by India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), will be held from 23rd to 27th June 2025 in New Delhi. It is a one-stop networking platform for energy storage, e-mobility & green hydrogen sector. The aim is to get the entire value chain of these sectors at one venue. The IESW series of exhibitions has created a niche in the energy storage, electric vehicle & hydrogen segment and proved very beneficial by getting the right participation from the government and private industry.
The European Hydrogen Week 2025 is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium. This event will continue to bring together key stakeholders from across the hydrogen value chain, including industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and innovators.
Windergy India 2025 will be held from 29 - 31 October 2025 at Chennai, India. Organised by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) and PDA Ventures Pvt Ltd, the 7th edition of Windergy India comprising of a 3-day trade fair and 2 day conference will provide a vibrant platform to meet, interact and engage with policymakers, regulatory authorities, international and domestic technology, solutions and service providers from the wind power industry.
