RE-invest 2017 will build upon the success of RE-Invest 2015 and explore the advances made on the ground to achieve India's target of 175 GW renewable energy capacity by 2022. The objective of the RE-Invest series of conference-expos is to showcase India’s renewable energy potential and the Government's efforts to develop and scale up the country’s installed RE capacity to meet the national energy requirement in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner.
Energy ministries and high level delegations are expected to participate in the Expo. Speakers, exhibitors and participants at the 3-day conference-expo will include investors, renewable energy project developers, manufacturers, financiers, multilateral agencies, R&D institutions, think tanks, civil society organisations and members of academia.
The Government of Germany commited itself to be the exclusive partner country of the RE-Invest 2017, aiming to further increase Indo-German cooperation and investemts into Renewable Energies. Germany will set up a German pavilion to show the strong engagement of German companies in the Indian market and to provide a space to present coopereation possibilities, to improve private sector involvement and to present German success models such as Energiewende.
The Global RE-INVEST 2017 Conference will have international policy, industry, financing, R&D and civil society experts address issues such as, global cooperation for energy security; environmental concerns; innovative solutions for sustainable development, project management and financing, and wealth creation in r ural areas.
The Global RE-INVEST 2017 Exhibition will be one of the largest business-to-business events on renewable energy in India. It will provide manufacturers, project developers, investors and other players from across the world unparalleled opportunity to network, explore investment avenues, and to facilitate: (i) buyers and sellers match; and (ii) one-to-one meetings to set up of joint ventures in the renewable energy sector.
